My anti virus software is telling me it found security risk in LogParserLizard.msi

Hi

There is no reason for worrying.

To be honest I had to search on the Internet regarding this. It seems that this alert is a recommending from Symantec that the software is not popular enough and that it might be a possible security risk. This is normal since we recently published LPL v4.0.3 and LPL MSI package is not signed with trusted code signing certificate (a privilege for large companies). This is their official response regarding the issue:

By searching in Internet I also found a lot of blogs criticizing Symantec about this alert with arguments that it will harm, eventually kill, the independent software developers (it is obviously true). You can check this yourself.

I assure you that Log Parser Lizard (and all software from Lizard Labs) is clean and safe for installation (no viruses, spyware, add-ware, toolbars, default browser changes, cross-selling products, etc...).

As a proof I’m sending you a link from Softpadia, independently tested and reviewed by their editor, tested against various virus scanners. Log Parser Lizard got a 100% clean award and we are proud of that. You can find similar results on other shareware sites (I’m sending Softpadi because it is one of the biggest and most respected software directories... by the way, please vote and give some stars while you're there :)

Best regards.
